Nikos Sgouros was born in Serres in 1963.
He graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, faculty of Architecture at the Polytechnic School,in 1987. During his co-operation with the architectural firm Tzonos-Heupel-Heupel, Nikos Sgouros was awarded with distinctions in the following architectural competitions:
The Olympic Swimming Pool (praise)
The Agricultural Bank of Greece in Kozani (Third Prize).
In autumn 1987 he represented the Municipality of Thessaloniki in the Architectural Section at the “3 rd BIENNALE of new artists from the Mediterranean”, in Barcelona, Spain.
He attended postgraduate courses in Paris and took the C.E.A.A. in Mediterranean Architecture, with the praise of the committee.
As an active member of the Technical Chamber of Greece and the Architectural Association of Thessaloniki , Nikos Sgouros has been chosen to represent the above organizations in architectural committees during the last 9 years.
The architectural firm “N. Sgouros & Associates Architects” has been operating in Thessaloniki, Greece since 1991 and is consisted of architects and interior designers. The architectural firm focuses on the study of high-end hotels, offices, blocks of flats, private residences and interior spaces. An integrated architecture proposal as well as the full completion of the project are the firm`s main aim.
A large number of these projects have been presented in architectural magazines and books. In 2004 an Architectural edition, entitled: “40+1 choices of architectural work: Nikos Sgouros”, was published containing the firm`s projects .
